The Roosevelt Park Revival is dedicated to providing a dynamic public space that pays homage to local history, promotes citizen engagement and provides entertainment and education opportunities to the community.
At the foot of a long-standing symbol of controversy and decay, an empty park transforms into an icon of community engagement, activity, and place making. Roosevelt Park is the perfect opportunity for community-initiated development of a public space. The park is a catalyst for future residential and business development and a hub for social action Flanked by a national architectural icon, the Detroit Central Station In 2010. The Roosevelt Park Conservancy was formed to coordinate volunteer and fundraising for the park.
